FCCPS Superintendent Peter J. Noonan has announced his retirement, effective at the end of the 2024-25 school year. After dedicating 33 years to public education, Noonan has decided to step down to spend more time with his family.

Mount Daniel - Blue & Red Routes
Oak Street - Bus 1 & 5
Secondary Campus - Bus E, K, and L

UPDATE /6 - Bus departures from Oak Street and Mount Daniel are expected to be delayed by 30 minutes today due to the delayed departure from the Secondary Campus. That means students should arrive home 30 minutes later than normal.
UPDATE /5 - Henderson and Meridian bus riders are now departing the Secondary Campus.
UPDATE /4 - Due to the delayed departure of buses from the Secondary Campus, expect bus departure delays at Mount Daniel and Oak Street Elementary. Dismissal of car riders and walkers should not be impacted.
- Henderson students are now being dismissed.
Due to the expected inclement weather, please note these changes:
- Track & Field is postponed until Monday @ same time
- Science Olympiad canceled.
- Rec & Parks events postponed Sat until at least 10 am.
- VHSL Swim & Dive and Wrestling Tournament will be held as scheduled.

The Bikesgiving Bike to School event that was scheduled for tomorrow (11/21) has been canceled due to expected bad weather. (Rain & Wind)

Due to the expected arrival of potential Tropical Storm Ophelia, The Falls Church Festival has been moved to Sunday from 10.- 4. To accommodate the move, the Run for the Schools will start at 9 a.m. Sunday - one hour later than scheduled!

Power has been restored to all FCCPS schools as well as the central Falls Church area.
A power outage in the central Falls Church area is impacting Mount Daniel and Jessie Thackrey Preschool. Oak Street Elementary, the Secondary Campus, and the Central Office currently are unaffected. Stand by for more info as we get it.

The Mt. Daniel Yellow bus has broken down and won't start at S. West St. and Laura.
A bus is coming to change the students over, and a mechanic is on the way.
Phone service at Mount Daniel has been restored.
Mount Daniel's phone service is currently out of service.
Technicians from Cox are en route.

GAS LEAK UPDATE:
The gas leak was repaired at the bridge construction work on South Oak Street near Oak Street Elementary. Bridge construction continues on S. Oak Street. Tomorrow, bus stops and walking routes will return to what they were before today's gas leak closures..
