Update on house fire near TJ: All emergency vehicles have left the scene, and Oak Street and sidewalks been reopened. Parents may resume using the Oak Street entrance to TJ and dismissal will run normally.
We are in contact with the Incident Commander on scene. He indicated emergency vehicles would likely be at the house for another 2 more hours. If correct that would mean the vehicles will be leaving the area well before dismissal. Updates as we learn more. 2/2
Update on house fire near TJ. The house in question is approximately one block north of TJ, across the street from the TJ soccer field. There is no threat to TJ property or kids. TJ students will remain inside, which they would anyway due to the rain. 1/2
Fire Departments are responding to a house fire near TJ Elementary. Oak Street between West Broad and Seaton Avenue will be closed. Please use the rear entrance of TJ until further notice. The building is not in danger.
